Known to many as The “River City by the Sea” besides the fabulous uncrowded beaches there are close to 40 miles of the Intracoastal Waterway canal, and the longest stretch of the St. Johns River. Jacksonville is home to the largest urban park system in the nation, with 10 state and national parks. There are more than  80,000 acres of parks, including 3 National Parks, 7 State Parks, and more than 400 City Parks, plus dozens of unique gardens and an arboretum.

Barbie Brooksher has a passion for children, the elderly, the environment, and the housing industry. She graduated from Ga College and State University in 1998 with a B.S. in Special Education and having an entrepreneurial spirit immediately started her first business in new construction and has been a successful business owner for 18 years.

Barbie organized and ran a school and church-wide organic garden/orchard programs, award-winning recycling programs, and worked with Teen Challenge to bring the dream of a large Greenhouse operation to life.
