Happy almost weekend in Jacksonville! What a week of heat and humidty and some beautiful rain that we’ve needed! As always, I’m sharing my picks for some great activities for beach lovers this weekend in Jacksonville. Also, I wanted to share a little bit about the organization that’s near and dear to my heart, SmileTrain. I’ve been supporting SmileTrain for years.

Planetarium Night Live!

Bryan-Gooding Planetarium,  1025 Museum Circle Jacksonville, FL

MOSH and the Bryan-Gooding Planetarium present Planetarium Night Live!, a program that allows you to expand your mind and go on an exploration of cosmic phenomena during immersive, live discussions & demonstrations.

Gravity is a sculptor of magnificent structures. Some of the gravity’s finest work is generated when given material to build rings around world. Discover some of what astronomers have learned about the beautiful rings here in our solar system and beyond.

Doors open at 6:30 p.m.

Suggested for ages 13+

Wellness Festival

Holistic Wellness Center, 1610 S 8th St, Fernandina Beach, FL

Wellness Fests are Free Community Events in the Holistic Wellness Courtyard. Join us for a fun evening showcasing local businesses, musicians, food trucks, and organizations.

Receive a $30 Chiropractic adjustment to benefit the Boys and Girls Clubs of Nassau County.


Saturday, August 20 • 9 AM – 1 PM

Wildlight Market Place

Wildlight Market Place, 123 Tinker Street, Wildlight, Florida

Join us at the new Wildlight Market Place, farmers, arts, and food truck market in Nassau County, Florida. Your well-behaved, leashed pets are welcome.
Enjoy seasonal produce, freshly baked bread, and other delicious treats. There will be handmade and home-crafted arts, too.
Open on the 1st and 3rd Saturdays of the month, year-round, rain or shine


Sunday, August 21 • 3 PM

Live Music by Kam Nix, food truck, and Sunbloom Flower Shop @ Ink Factory

Ink Factory Brewing, 602 Shetter Avenue, Jacksonville Beach, Florida 

Local songwriter and singer KAM NIX is coming back out to Ink Factory Brewing to play. Free admission. No tickets are necessary! Sunday, August 21st @ 3 pm.

You can also find Sunbloom Flower Shop popped up in the taproom while Steak Almighty Jax Grill food truck will be serving a wide variety of foods outside.
